What is Tagging?

You might have strategic themes or items that are related to a specific topic. With tagging you can connect all your execution items under a pre-defined tag.

Tagging allows you to group and track related Objectives, Key Results, Commitments, and Interlocks by connecting them to a specific theme or topic. This feature helps you organize and monitor the progress of execution items efficiently.

Why use Tagging?

  • Organize and connect: By tagging items like Objectives, Key Results, Commitments, and Interlocks, you create a centralized view of all related activities and their progress under a common theme.
  • Enhanced visibility: Tags provide a clear overview of how distinct parts of the strategy interconnect, helping you understand the collective impact of related items.
  • Efficient tracking: With tagged items, you can easily monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.

How to Tag Items?

Add a Tag to an Item:

  • From any dialog view (Objective, Key Result, Commitment, or Interlock), locate the "+Add tag" option.
  • Click on "+Add tag" and select the appropriate tags from the predefined list.
  • You can add multiple tags to an item to reflect its relevance to different themes.
  • Tags can be removed easily by clicking on the remove icon next to the tag name.

View Tagged Items:

  • Navigate to the "Tags" section from the main navigation menu.
  • In this view, you'll see all predefined tags and a list of items associated with each tag.
  • This view allows you to track the progress of all tagged items and their alignment with strategic themes.

Managing Tags

Tag setup:

  • Tags can only be defined by a Change Manager.
  • To define a new tag, go to the "Manage Tags" tab in the settings section.
  • Click on the "+New tag" button and give a name for the tag
    • Note: Currently tag names do not support spaces. When creating a tag, try and use a single word or for example if your tag is “Digital Transformation”, you can use “DigitalTransformation”.
  • You can also define the color for the tag by clicking on the tag icon. You can select one of the pre-defined colors or add your own color in hex format, by clicking on the "#" icon. You can change the color later too.
  • Once a tag is defined, it becomes available for selection in the item panel and visible in the main navigation.
User Access:
  • Only the Change Manager can create and manage tags.
  • Regular users can only see and use the tags once they have been defined. They will not have access to the "Manage Tags" tab.
